Herbert Frank Perks, 75, lovingly known as Butch, of El Campo, Tx. rolled into heaven in a hot rod on August 11, 2020, surrounded by family. The memorial service will be held at 10:00 am August 13, 2020 at Wheeler Funeral Home with Pastor Rick DuBroc officiating.
Herbert Frank Perks was born August 13, 1944, to Elsie Virginia Martin and Henry Bertrum Perks in Princeton, New Jersey. He was married to the love of his life Linda Kerns Perks in 1975. They were married 50 years, and had one son, Henry Adam Perks. Herbert was born in New Jersey and moved to Texas in 1980 to work as a heavy machine operator with his cousin David Allgayer at DAM services. Where he worked for 40 years. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, weekends at the racetrack with son and family, and lunch dates with his Lin. Butch was a devoted grandfather, father, husband, and friend.
Butch is survived by his wife, Linda Perks of El Campo, Tx. Son, Adam Perks and wife Janet of El Campo. Granddaughter Amber Marie Compian and husband Aaron Compian of Wharton, Tx. His granddaughter Ashley Perks LeBouf and husband Dylan of, great grandchildren Dayton LeBouf and Abigail LeBouf of El Campo. Step grandson Brandon Sherrill. Step grandson Tyson Sherrill and son. Herbert's sister Gertrude Perks Dye of Heighston, New Jersey.
Preceded in death by his parents and sister Joan Perks Simcoe.
