Vicki Lynn Hildebrand

December 3, 1969 — May 11, 2025

El Campo, Texas

Vicki Lynn Hildebrand born December 3, 1969, age 55, passed away on May 11, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most. A woman of unwavering strength and compassion, Vicki lived a life that was nothing short of victorious—devoted to service, fiercely loyal to her family, and unapologetically full of life.

Born and raised in El Campo Texas, Vicki was the beloved daughter of Sebero Bustamente and the late Marcelina Beatrice Bustamente. Her early life instilled in her a deep-rooted passion for helping others, a value passed down by her parents and one she carried with her every day.

For over 30 years, Vicki dedicated her career to Texana Center, where she served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with unmatched heart and purpose. She was a proud member of the Rotary Club, A.R.C of Wharton, the Parents Committee for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and the El Campo Pilot Club. Received many awards as well, her most recent being a graduate of the 2022 Class of Leadership Fort Bend Cultivating Future Leaders. Through her work and community involvement, Vicki became a cornerstone of care, advocacy, and compassion.

Vicki’s greatest pride, however, was her family. She is survived by her beautiful daughters, Amber Marie Acosta and husband Rudy Acosta, and Ashley Marie LeBouef and husband Dylan LeBouef. She was the proudest “Meme” to her perfect grandchildren, Dayton and Abigail LeBouef, never missing a single game, recital, or moment to cheer them on. Her legacy is one of deep love that lives on thru them.

She also leaves behind her father, Sebero Bustamente, and wife Pauline; her sister, Leticia “Tish” Marie Perry, and husband Eric Perry Sr.—who was a brother to Vicki in every sense; and her beloved brother, Patrick Bustamente, and wife Daisy. She is also lovingly remembered by her former husband and love returned, Matthew Warren Hildebrand, who stood faithfully by her side in her final days.

Her cherished circle included best friends Nancy and Saul Puentes, as well as a wide family of aunts, uncles, along with her nieces and nephews Erikka Perry, Royce Perry, Eric Perry, Daesha Perry, Taerikk Perry, Garrian Perry and Zakari Perry, Kyla Thomas, Cashton Thomas, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marcelina Beatrice Bustamente, her brother Sebero Bustamente Jr., and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Vicki loved attending auctions, trying her luck gambling, and simply having a good time wherever she went with her girls and grand babies. Her laughter could fill a room, and she was deeply present for those around her. She was a rock to many, a fierce advocate, and a joyful spirit who reminded us all to cherish the moment.

In fulfillment of a sacred promise to her mother, Vicki earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Springfield University— She went on to rise to the top of her field, maintaining a leadership position at Texana Center until her passing. She not only lead but inspired—managing teams with grace, advocating with conviction, and unwavering integrity.

She was the person you could always count on, the voice of strength in hard times, and the smile that reminded you to enjoy the little things.

Her life was a living reminder that love, service, and laughter are what truly matter.

“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others.” – Pericles
