Timothy Briggs

Timothy Briggs passed into eternal life on October 12, 2018. Tim was born to Harry and Alice Ruch Briggs in Huntington, New York on May 12, 1964. When Tim was eight years old, the family moved to Nassau Bay, Texas. Tim lived in this area for the rest of his life. He was a proud citizen of Nassau Bay and was proud of his Mother's Swiss heritage. He was a duel citizen of America and Switzerland. Tim graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1984 and obtained an associate's degree from San Jacinto College. He spent many productive years working as an IT specialist for various companies.

Tim met the love of his life, Rebecca Walker Briggs, in April 2013. They were married on May 3, 2014 and created a strong and enduring life together in Nassau Bay, Tx. Tim was diagnosed with cancer in May 2015. He bravely fought for three and a half years. Tim was a courageous and loving man, filled with humor and a zest for life. He loved his pets, golf, the Houston Texans, and so much more. Tim will be remembered for his sweet and loving spirit and his wicked sense of humor. He always had joke or a funny comment to share and a ready, welcoming smile. He was a man of faith. He was a faithful attender of Ecclesia Houston Church and Edgewater Church. During the last months of his life the scripture that became very special to him was Psalms 118:17 "I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord."

Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Briggs and brother, Thomas Briggs of Switzerland. He is also survived by cousins in Switzerland, U.S. and Argentina. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry Briggs, and mother, Alice Briggs. The family wishes to thank Tim's many caregivers over the months of his illness, especially Brittney Harmonson. Thanks also goes to Right at Home Galveston, Seasons Hospice, Ecclesia Church, and Edgewater Church for their care, support, and prayers during this long illness.

A Memorial Service for Timothy will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Ecclesia Houston Church, 1100 Elder, Houston, Texas 77007
