Sergio Contreras

Sergio Contreras, 56, of El Campo passed away March 5, 2019. He was born Aug. 23, 1962 in Mexico to Tomas and Sofia Lavalle Contreras. He was a self employed carpenter and a man of many trades.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Ruth Alejandra Contreras; father, Tomas Contreras; sons, Sergio Orlando Contreras and wife Beatrice, Thomas Abisai Contreras and wife Cristal, Isai Nathanael Contreras; daughters, Jennifer Jaqueline Contreras, Stephy Sh...erlyne Contreras; brothers, Gildardo Contreras, Antonio Contreras; sisters, Rita Vargas, Marisela Garcia and five grandchildren that he adored very much, Sergio Orlando Contreras Jr., Eliana Ellena Contreras, Staley Abiziah Contreras, Copeland Brooks Contreras and Robert Paul Contreras.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sofia Contreras.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday. March 8 at Wheeler Funeral Home.Visitation will resume at noon Saturday, March 9 at Wheeler Funeral Home with a time of sharing memories by family and friends until 2 p.m. at which time Sergio will be taken to LaColonia Cemetery for burial.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home, El Campo.
