Paul Melton Blumrick

Paul Melton Blumrick, 79, passed away on May 3, 2026, in Corpus Christi, Texas, surrounded by his devoted children. He had called Rockport Texas home for the past 22 years.

Born on May 9, 1946, in El Campo, Texas, Paul lived a life full of faith, family, and love. He married Dianna Blumrick, on July 30, 1999, and they shared many cherished years together until her passing in February 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Nora Blumrich and sister, Karon Blumrick.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his Children: Paul Blumrick Jr., Renae and Bryce Poteet, Craig and Paula Mitchell, Kellee and Dale Scott, Kent and Lucera Mitchell; his sister Darlene Jones; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who knew him best as “Grandad”.

Paul was a devoted husband and father who found great joy in spending time with his family. He loved hunting and fishing with his children and took pride in attending his grandchildren’s many events over the years. He made it a priority to be present for birthdays and special celebrations whenever he could. He especially enjoyed visiting his daughter Renae’s home for her delicious cooking. Paul had a deep love for the outdoors, particularly fishing, and in recent years, he found happiness in traveling and caring for his beloved dogs, Mia and Jazz.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00pm, with funeral services beginning at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Wheeler Funeral Home, 612 W Jackson St, El Campo, TX 77437. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery,

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Blumrick Jr., Bryce Poteet, Craig Mitchell, Art Smith, John Luedeker and Keith Hogden. Honorary pallbearers include Matt McGrew and Ricky Woodling.
