Margie Ann Burroughs

Margie A. Burroughs passed away September 9, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born May 25, 1941 in San Antonio. She was the daughter of Christine Havran and William Zajicek. She and her husband, Ralph L. Burroughs owned and operated a grocery store in their early years of marriage. During her lifetime she worked in the insurance business and her last job was at Modern Cleaners before her retirement. She was a cat lover and took great joy in decorating for the Christmas holiday, both inside her home and her yard.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Christie Schilhab and husband Kerry; grandchildren, Slade Long and wife Darah, Travis Long and wife Kasey, Garrett Long, Tanner Long; great grandchildren, Easton Long and Weston Long. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Leon Burroughs and step-sister, Joanne Hoskins.

Visitation will be Friday, September 12, 2025 at Wheeler Funeral Home from 5 until 6 pm.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Wheeler Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Slade Long, Tanner Long, Travis Long, Chad Morris and Campbell Burroughs.
