Listen to Obituary

Luis Chiesa Sr, a dedicated entrepreneur and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, in El Campo, Texas. Born on December 4, 1952, in Coamo, Puerto Rico, Luis built a life marked by hard work, commitment, and an unwavering devotion to both his family and his community.

Luis was the proud owner and operator of Luis Chiesa Construction and LJ Ready Mix, businesses that stood as a testament to his industrious spirit and profound expertise in the construction industry. His work not only contributed to the development of many projects but also left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside him

Luis's personal journey was deeply rooted in family. He was the cherished son of the late Guillermo Chiesa and Carmen Gonzalez. His loving wife, Mary Alice Palacios Chiesa, with whom he shared many years has preceded him in death. Additionally, he mourned the loss of his grandsons Isaac, Ace, Grayson and Baby Luis, extended children Eddie and Alice Marie Valdez, and his brother Leonard 'Tati" Chiesa, who are all fondly remembered.

He leaves behind a rich legacy through his living family members. His son, Luis Chiesa Jr, along with his spouse Adriana, continue to honor his memory. His daughters, Carmen Hogan, husband Brandon, and Mindy Acuna, husband Stanley Jr, also carry forward his values and spirit. Luis's family circle extended warmly to his extended children, Jessica Moreno, Marie Garcia, Johnny Espinoza, Belinda Herrera, Jesse Espinoza, Richard Neff and all of their beautiful families who were an integral part of his life

The bonds of brotherhood held a special place for Luis; he is survived by his brothers Jorge and Adriano Chiesa, who reside in Puerto Rico. Their close-knit relationship was a source of strength and support throughout his life

Luis's legacy flourishes through his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. Kylie, Maddie, Peyton, Mylie, and Stanley Acuna III, Levi, Lillian, and Lexie Hogan, Taylor, Khloe, Brian, and Corrina stand as living testaments to his enduring love and influence. As well as his great grandchildren Chloe, Kilynn, Kadyn, Macario and Kailani.

A longstanding friendship with Jesus "Chuy" Mares was a cherished part of Luis's life, reflecting the deep connections he maintained beyond family.

The family would like to give special thanks to the medical staff who worked tirelessly beside them to do what was always best for Luis. Dr. Agnew and the staff at El Campo Memorial Hospital. Lisa Sosa and Maria Herrera Thank you for always going above and beyond to keep Luis comfortable during his time in the hospital. Rhonda Rodriguez, Erika Garcia and Erica Tovar you ladies will always hold a special place in the families heart for the love and time you poured into Luis.
