Leona Anderson Pierce, lovingly known as "Granny" passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2025. at the age of 100.

Born on May 12,1925, in Glendale, Utah, Leona was delivered at home by her father----a humble beginning to a long and beautiful life. She graduated from Valley High School in Orderville, Utah, and carried her small-town values of faith, hard work, and family with her throughout her life.

On March 12, 1944, Leona married the love of her life, Kenneth Lisle Pierce, while he was serving in the U.S. Air Force in Wendover, Utah. Kenneth was later deployed to Tinian Island during World War II, and while he was overseas, their first daughter was born--marking the beginning of Leona's lifelong role as a devoted and loving mother.

Leona had a remarkable talent for homemaking. She loved to sew, quilt, cook, and preserve the fruits of their family garden---skills she passed down to the next generations. Her home was a place of warmth and tradition, where family gathered often and love was felt in every corner.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her daughter, Sharlene Spinn; and her granddaughter, Brandy Spinn.

Leona is survived by her children; Larry Pierce (Melinda), Patty Martin (Rocky). She leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren; Robert Spinn (Paige), Todd Spinn (Fay), April Grunewald (Cory), Cody Pierce (Frances), Kendra Facundo (Oscar) and Kristen (Derek). Her great-grandchildren include Whitney Elkins (Alex), Brent Spinn, Dustin Spinn, Trevor Spinn, Hayley Spinn, Ava Grunewald, Jackson Grunewald, Austin Grunewald, Ella Balensiefen, Olivia Pierce, Easton Pierce, Pierce Facundo, Cruz Facundo, Nash Facundo, Dax Bingham, Knox Bingham and Kroix Bingham. She is also lovingly remembered by her great-great-grandchildren; Zoey Elkins, Zetty Elkins, Zailey Velasquez and Abigail Spinn.

Leona's life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring faith, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she helped shape, and her memory will forever be treasured.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Spinn, Todd Spinn, Cody Pierce, Cory Grunewald, Oscar Facundo and Derek Bingham.

Celebrating the Life of Leona Anderson Pierce will be held graveside at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in El Campo, Texas.
