Juana Miranda aged 89, united with the lord on May 20, 2026.

Juana Miranda (Juanita) was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on October 5, 1936, to the late Juan Miranda and late Josefina Cedillo.

Juanita was known for her catholic faith as well as being a hard-working lady, and spending time with her family. She loved going to church sitting on the front roll. She involved herself into the St. Roberts Church also donating when she could. Juanita was a very well-employed citizen by making lunch plates to sell at Greenleaf Nursey, as well as selling food plates and tamales to the police department and schools of EL Campo, as well as many other businesses in the local area. She also opened a restaurant named Terri's Cafe here in El Campo with the help of her partner in life late Julian A. Terri's Cafe thrived and had lots of customers as well as family and friends. Afterwards the opportunity was offered by her late friends Vivian and Joe Vallejo for Juanita to work as the cook at the Pan American Ballroom. As she worked there, she had the opportunity to meet lots of Mexican Tejano singers and cook for their families. You would find her dancing on the dance floor anytime Fito Oliveras would play, that was her favorite singer and band. As time passed by she moved on and another proposal opened up with people asking her if she would do the kitchen for the S.P.J.S.T Hall in Hillje as well the VFW hall and American Hall for bingo, for many years she cooked food for all three bingo halls in EL Campo. As time went on Junita started to relax and enjoy her time off by joining a lottery group. She loved to play lottery often with her friends and family. All in all, with her cooking for a lot of big business and running three bingo halls’ as well as owning a restaurant she made time to visit her family and friends in Mexico often. Lots of trips to Mexico to see her mother and siblings. Juanita lived a full life but her biggest accomplishment was her studying for her citizenship, for her being from Mexico she worked hard and learned about US history, government, and learned English she was able to pass the test and getting the notice from the President Geroge Bush Sr. congratulating her on her citizenship was a big accomplishment.

Juanita did several things in life and she was involved in a lot of activities but also she was very well involved in spending time with her family which include her kids the late Maria Martin (Don), Ramon Miranda (Sara), and the late baby Gracile, Mary Rodriguez. She had 14 grandkids, 33 great grandkids and one special Great Great Grandchild named Aria Luna, her beloved one that she would love to talk too and visit with.
