Janice Ellen Lipinski

Janice Ellen Jensen Lipinski, 83, passed away on August 27, 2025, in El Campo.

Janice was born on March 22, 1942, to Chester and Hildegard “Shorty” Jensen.

Born and raised in El Campo, Janice graduated from El Campo High School, in 1960. Janice married the love of her life, Walter Lipinski, on May 23, 1967, and recently celebrated 58 years.

Janice, affectionately known as Grammy, had a love for baseball, especially the Houston Astros. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandsons.

Grammy loved to cook for everyone and work on her crossword puzzle books. In her younger years, she played softball and was also in a bowling league. When her grandkids were younger, she and Walter loved taking them on summer vacations. She and Walter, and friends took part in several gambling trips throughout their years of marriage. Janice “Grammy” Lipinski loved her family!

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Janice “Grammy” Lipinski is survived by her husband Walter Lipinski, son Eric Lipinski (Jackie), son in law Wade Cornelson, granddaughter Jessica Lipinski, grandson Dalton Cornelson, adopted grandsons Colby and Clayton Nunnelly, sister Dianne “Auntie” West, sister in law Barbara Jenson, great grandsons Brantley Shaffer, Braxton McGrew, Kayden and Jayden Lipinski, nieces Dawn Merta (Jared), Misti Elliot, Andrea “Andy” Maple (Clayton) and nephew Vance Jensen.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Hildegard “Shorty” Jensen, brother Neil “Tiny” Jensen, Daughters Dianne “Dinky” Gajdos, Cheryl Cornelson and loving grandson Justin Lipinski.

Visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Wheeler Funeral Home from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:30 am.
