James Robertson

James Jackson "Jackie" Robertson, 81, also lovingly known as "Coach," of Pierce, passed away May 28, 2018 in Houston. He was born Sept. 21, 1936 in Orangefield, Texas to Melvin and Verna McClelland Robertson.

Jackie was a coach for the El Campo Independent School District for more than 30 years years.

He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Bauer and husband Charles of Beaumont; uncle, Ray McClelland of Houston as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Robertson and sister, Judy Garcia.

Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at Oaklawn Memorial Park in El Campo.
