Helen Swaney

Helen Griffin Repka Swaney, of El Campo passed away April 13, 2019 at the age of 86 after a short illness. She was born March 30, 1933 in High Island to the late Sterling E. and Agnes Banks Griffin, born third of 5 children. She lived in several states through out her life enjoying a gypsy lifestyle working in a variety of jobs. Thru all of her ups and downs in her life she was always a very kind and compassionate person with a very caring soul. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed her days on earth. She always had a funny remark to make people laugh. She is survived by sons; Michael Lynn Repka and Mary of Corpus Christi, Jody Joseph Repka and Cynthia of El Campo, Kevin Eugene Repka and Sena of El Campo; daughter, Sheila Repka Wall and Michael of El Campo; brother, James Ray Griffin of El Campo; 8 grandchildren Olivia Wall, Michael Thomas Wall, Cameron Wall, Angelina Repka Mitchum, Michael Scott Repka, Shane Repka, and Melissa Repka and Kevin Kris Repka along with 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings; Sterling Griffin, Henry Griffin, Alice Griffin Gore, grandchild Chloe Lynn Wall, husbands; Ernest Repka and Douglas Swaney.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Wheeler Funeral Home with prayer service beginning at 6:00 to 6:30 pm, led by nephew Jimmy "Bimbo" Griffin.
