Evelyn Quirey

Evelyn C."Lucky" Quirey, 94, of Port Alto and formerly of Louise passed away May 1, 2018. She was born Dec. 14, 1923 in Port Arthur to William C. and Euphrasie Nezat Carlile.

She is survived by her son, Stockton M. "Mickey" Quirey Jr. and wife Nona of Port Lavaca; daughters, Anita L."Bubbles" Maly of North Enid, Okla. and Susan I. Quirey of Victoria; brothers, Harold A. Carlile and wife Olimpia of San Juan and James Carlile and wife Ruby of Chalk Mountain; sisters, Elizabeth Wren and husband Elvis Jr. of Groves and Martha Sue Anderson of Bossier City, La.; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stockton Quirey and infant son; brother , W.C. "Jack" Carlile Jr .

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Monday, May 7 at Wheeler Funeral Home with services beginning at 1 p.m. Pastor Larry Green will be officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.
