Estella Morales Alamia

Estella Morales Alamia, lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer on January 24, 2024. She was 75 years old. She was born September 5, 1948 in Palacios, TX to Octavio Alamia and Lorenza Morales Alvarez Alamia.

Estella worked in the automotive field for over 30 years in Palacios and Bay City. During those years she was elected to the Palacios City Council. She also coached for many years for t-ball, little league, major leagues, softball, basketball and soccer. She coached her daughter as well as her grandsons.

Estella enjoyed playing golf with her friends. She even placed in some golf tournaments. She enjoyed good conversations with friends and family. She also loved doing her crossword puzzles and watching football. She also loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Estella was preceded in death by her parents Octavio Alamia and Lorenza Morales Alvarez Alamia; sister, Mary Alvarez Duran and brother Antonio Alvarez.

Survivors include her only child Erika Soliz Hernandez (Jaime) of Katy; brother, Jesse (Kelly) Alvarez, Sr. of Palacios; sisters, Alfa Alamia of Victoria; and Isabel (Noe) Garcia, Amparo (Keith) Brangan of San Antonio; grandsons, Taylor Alamia and Nichols Hernandez of Katy; granddaughter, Lorrayne Coco Hernandez of Katy and great-grandchildren Aaliyah Ramos Hernandez and Giovanni Hernandez of Katy.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Palacios Methodist Church in Palacios. The funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Pastor Lloyd Rodriquez officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jaime Hernandez, JoeMike Torres, Taylor Alamia, Nicholas Hernandez, David Moore, III and Fermin Benitez.
