Today we honor the life of Consuelo Resendez, better known to us as Grandma Joyce — a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and grandma who touched so many lives.

Though she has left this earth, she did not leave without making an everlasting impression. Through her strength, her style, and her love for capturing every special moment, she leaves behind memories we will cherish forever.

We pray for her soul and ask God to grant her eternal rest. And as we move forward, may we continue to feel her presence in the little moments and remember the strong, loving, and giving woman she was.

May we hold close the love she shared with us and the memories we are forever blessed to carry.

Consuelo Resendez passed away June 8, 2026. She was born March 16,1948 in Woodsboro to the late Maria Paula Luna Tovar and Pedro Matias Tovar.

She leaves behind her husband, Sesario Resendez. Consuelo had 5 sons, Jose Luis Garcia, John Henry Garcia and James Michael Garcia who will miss her greatly as she joins her sons in heaven, Robert Garcia and Jacinto Garcia. She is also survived by siblings, Andres Tovar, Sr., Sammy Tobar, Sr., Abelia Lopez and Gloria Saucedo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Pedro Tovar and siblings, Ophelia Porras, Richard Tovar, Pedro Tovar, Matias Tovar, Matilda Campos, Manuel Tovar, Claudita Tovar, Ruben Tovar and Matias Tovar.

Visitation will be from 8:30 until 9:00 am Thursday, June 18, 2026 at St. Robert's Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am with mass beginning at 9:30 am

Burial will follow at Midfield cemetery.
