Carol Ann Socha Brown received her guardian angel wings on August 16, 2020 at the age of 73. Carol was born July 8, 1947 in El Campo to the late Emil J Socha & Leona Bubela Socha. She was a lifelong resident of El Campo who was a devout Catholic & enjoyed visits from her children & grandchildren, baking, playing dominoes, & eating the occasional poppyseed kolache. She will always be remembered as a strong-willed Bohemian, fiercely protective of her loving family. She is survived by her son David Neil Brown Jr and wife Anna of Pt Arthur TX, daughter Deborah Brown Rublein and husband George of Charleston SC, daughter Connie Brown James and husband Thor of Warner Robins GA; grandchildren Destinee Means Gillis, Chad Brown, Amber James Thornbury, Desiree Maldonado, Ashley Brown Callen, John Brown, Mark Brown, Austin James, Johann Erik Rublein, Michelle Menard, Addison Holt; 12 great grandchildren; brother Emil J Socha Jr of New Ulm TX, sister Joyce Socha Zbranek of Nada TX. Carol is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David Neil Brown Sr, sister JoAnn Socha Ballard, & granddaughter Kristian Elise Rublein.
There will be a graveside service Friday August 28 at 10am at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to SPJST Senior Living in Hillje in Carol's memory.
